Host an Event
There is a generous community of individuals and businesses that are always looking for ways to support Work It Out. From happy hours to private dinners, from jeans days to black-tie events, hosting an event to support Work It Out gives you the opportunity to have fun and give back. Some examples of previous events hosted by our community are outlined below. Your creativity is your only limit to the success of your event.

Looking for ideas? Here’s some Inspiration
Fund-raise at a local restaurant, or other business.
Guests were invited to Bella Piatti in Birmingham to learn about Work It Out, indulge in signature cocktails and happy-hour bites and mingle with others who like to support local organizations. Donations were collected throughout the evening and the restaurant owners made a generous contribution resulting in more than $6,000 for our programming.
Hold a fundraising event through your place of employment.
The Dykema law firm and its team hosted a jeans day to benefit DKWIO and raised $500. Every employee who contributed a gift to support DKWIO was granted the opportunity to wear jeans to work on a specific date.
Host a donation class at your fitness studio.
The Yoga Garden in Beverly Hills hosted a donation class for Work It Out and raised more than $400 for the kids!
Change a child’s life for $75
We know that when you host an event, you’re going to want to tell your invitees how their donations will help Work It Out. Every $75 raised helps to provide one 10-week session for a student. Each student will receive yoga instruction, nutrition lessons, their own yoga mat and a full-color workbook so that they may continue to practice what they’ve learned.
So, when you set your event goal, consider setting it in $75 increments and highlight the number of children that will benefit from their generosity. For example, you may say, “We want to provide Work It Out programming for 100 kids in Detroit. Help us raise $7,500.”
